Vice President - James Lumley

Rank: 4 kyu.

Hi my name is James and I am the new Vice President of UWSU Kendo Society.

I am the person you should confirm that you are in on the day of the sessions.

Even though I am not the captain, I am actually higher grade than our President because I am much more awesome then he is :P

President - Hamed N. Nouri

Rank: Mu kyu - 6 Kyu
I'm a The awesomeness of Kendo in Westminster :P as you can see above I was deep in thoughts with Japanese culture and etc that make me wonder if we have Kendo in uni, well.... now we do :D

Come Join us, it be fun, we have Competitions with London Cup and also most important of all, we hold events such as dinner party or/and Karaoke. (and we go to pub after each sessions :D )

Trust me, we are all Friendly and we LOVE having fun so I promise I won't bite :D I don't know about my vice though, he is a cookie monster :P

Oh one last thing: I know I am meant to be the Captain and on top when it comes to gradings but I missed both my gradings :'( [I had a toe Surgery on both :'( ] so the VP is actually more Sempai than I am, but I did more Kendo than he did :S

Westminster's Kendo Club

In September 2012 (Fresher's Week), our awesome President was sitting in front of Anime Society section, wondering if we have Kendo or Archery Society, so he looked into the Smokes magasine and understood Westminster is missing (Big time :P ) So he created both Kendo and Archery Society. After a week he managed to contact UCL university so that we could practise together, however they didn't like us :'( so he looked again and managed to find another Kendo centre near university, Called Tora Kendo (http://torakendo.co.uk/). so he contacted them, in a very short time Tora Dojo agreed to help us; till this day Westminster's Kendo is associated with TORA Kendo.

After few discussions with Westminster's Sports Team (UWSU Dragons) we managed to convince Uni if the students are part of dragons, uni refunds the joining fee (£60) back to the students and is refunding every session fee (£5) for the second semester only. However, if you do not like to join the Dragons team, then you must pay £60 for joining fee and £5 per session to Tora Dojo but note no matter how you chose to continue Kendo, you will receive shinai and its cover with your Joining fee for FREE.

In below here you can meet the President/ Captain, Vice President and Treasurer of the Society.
